This building in Yazd, centeral Iran was once the palace of the governer of the province (in 18th century). It has a very high windcatcher, 33.8 meters to be exact.

This old building is actually an awesome hotel in one of Iran’s oldest cities, Yazd, located in the edge of desert. The renovated building and garden is more than 150 years old. The windcatcher (Baadgir), is a landmark of the city and helped directionning the wind in the hot summer days.

This heavenly garden is located in Brentwood Bay, BC (Vancouver island). It worth every minute of the drive to the place (20 Km from the ferry).
